Brooks Showcase Display


Spectas was retained by The Sports and Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) as the sole display partner for their Innovation Awards showcase, held in Chicago in September, 2017, for an audience of C-level industry executives and global sports media.. With a 12–week turnaround requirement, we were charged with creating a series of 10 museum-grade exhibits, similar in footprint and stature, with each having the ability to showcase a unique product. Due to ballroom noise, audio was not an option; thus use of graphic panels and demonstrative video were vital.

Our creative team conceived podium-style displays that allowed for lighted SFIA branding on the base and attention-command at eye-level. Each of the award-winning companies was asked to provide a product sample, interior graphic panels and a 45-second loop video for use on the added mp3 player. The positioning and layout within each glass case was unique to product size and the need to communicate its key innovative attributes.

In the case of Brooks Levitate running shoe, we used magnetic technology to give the illusion of a floating (weightless) shoe that spun 360-degrees for full view. Working directly with each brand’s marketing team, Spectas handled concept, design, fabrication, fulfillment and installation and breakdown at the Chicago event.
